The use of pop up banners by the Community Departments of top level football clubs is increasing by the day!  Most recently The Tigers Sports and Education Trust the community arm of Hull City FC, have chosen both the horizontal and vertical pop ups to promote their Fit to Play project.  Funded with a substantial grant from the Premier League and the PFA Community Fund, as well as local funding from the local NHS, the Fit to Play project is aimed at 9 to 11 year olds to raise their awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to encourage participation in physical activities.  The banners are being used in local schools to make the children aware of the project and encouraging them to attend.

A good personal recommendation for a product is invaluable.  Recently, Pop-up banners were recommended by the PGA to the organisers of the Aegean Airlines Pro-Am Golf Tournament in Halkidiki, and subsequently became their portable signage supplier.   Choosing the medium, round-ended pop-up banners and the finn banners, Afea SA Travel and Congress were delighted with the products.  With such a large quantity, it was essential that the banners were lightweight and easy to use, as well as being visually attractive.   Featuring the logos of the main sponsors in high quality print, the banners fit the bill - ensuring maximum exposure with the minimum of fuss.

Our full range of pop-up banners and flags were recently showcased at the Sports Merchandise Exhibition SMex, held at London’s Wembley Stadium.  The exhibition is targeted especially at those involved directly with football, and to showcase football stadiums as event venues.

Premiership football club Blackburn Rovers are the most recent sporting client to invest in our pop-up banners. The club chose the medium pop-up banners; being both lightweight and robust, made them ideal for pitch demarcation. Our Finn banners also ensured the team instant and eye-catching promotion. The club’s coach really appreciated the minimum time and effort required to put up the banners, allowing them to focus on their football, secure in the knowledge that their club is successfully being promoted. The pop-up banners are lightweight, easy to store and transport, perfect for Blackburn Rovers FC, and, perfect for promotional purposes.  

Numerous exhibitors this year at the Great Yorkshire Show have chosen to utilise pop-up banners, in order to best attract attention to their displays. ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ chose to invest in Feather pop-up flags and medium pop-ups, easy to transport and assemble, with Feather pop-ups utilising a spike or base which make them perfect for outdoor display at the show.  The banners for ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ will allow them to encourage visitors to support business and tourism in the Yorkshire Dales. Our latest designs – the lantern banners - are being featured by Tim Gibson Ltd, which with three advertising faces will provide high visibility for the display in all directions. Pop-up banners are of high quality yet require little time to assemble and display, and with eye catching colours and graphics are ideal for these exhibitors to attract maximum attention to their stalls with minimum effort.

The new lantern pop-up banner brings a new dimension to all-round visual portable signage.  High impact graphics on three sides of the lantern ensure great visibility of any corporate logo.  Measuring a total of 2metres tall, and rotating gently with the breeze, the pop-up lantern banner is suitable for high impact outdoor displays.

The Football Foundation Kickz Project has chosen to use pop-up banners to promote their message in association with the professional football clubs and the police.  The purpose of Kickz is to use the appeal of professional football clubs to create safer, stronger and more respectful communities by developing young peoples potential, interest and connections with the professional game.  The lightweight pop-up banners allow you to get a message across with the minimum effort, yet provide maximum impact.

It is not always easy to find new ideas on how to brand an event.  Well, the Co-operative Group has certainly managed to do just that!  They wanted to create a branded, impactful entrance to their highly prestigious Good with Food award ceremony at the Manchester Central venue.  They wanted something different, practical, and not too expensive.  Using the new Pop-Up Banners’ lantern banner, a three sided eye-level, rather unusually shaped product, became the obvious choice  Given the option to either buy the entire lantern or hire the hardware, both obviously featuring high quality printing of their logo, the result was a highly impact and unusual branded event and a very happy Co-operative Group!

British Gas is supporting the Pools 4 Schools initiative, which gives children in deprived areas the chance to swim in temporary pools.  Brainchild of former British swimming captain, Steve Parry, and supported by Rebecca Adlington, Olympic gold medal swimmer, the initiative will visit 10 locations in the UK staying for six weeks at time.  Signage by Pop-up banners has been chosen for this venture due to the very portable nature and easy of use of the banners.

At the recent BBC Summer Good Food Show at the NEC, various pop-up banner models were selected for use on the Destination Worcestershire stand to promote some of their local partners.  Spider banners featuring Kit’s Kitchen and What A Pickle, and finn banners featuring Worcester Feast, Herefordshire & The Wye Valley and the official fan club of the Archers, Archers Addicts all made a significant visual impact.  For above eye level promotion, finn banners are the ideal choice.  Easy to see, easy to read and easy to use - a perfect, highly visual branding solution.

At the PGA Tour at Wentworth recently, the BBC televised the presentation of a cheque for £35,000 on behalf of the Tour Players Foundation.  Highly visible in the foreground of the presentation is a square-ended pop-up banner.  Designed and printed with the distinctive PGA golf logo, our pop-up banners are used extensively for portable promotional signage particularly at corporate events or golf events.



Exhibiting at the Event UK show recently, Pop-Up Banners showcased their full range of banners and flags.  Categorised by the organisers as the largest events show outside of London, the Event show saw an increase in attendance of 7%, which can only be a good thing in this current economic climate.  On the Pop-Up Banners stand, a great deal of interest was expressed in the lantern banner.  Suitable for use primarily outdoors, where it can gently revolve in the wind, the lantern has three sides for branding and is a really impactful product.
